Further Improvements to Kettering General Hospital

GSS have a long history with Kettering General Hospital, dating back over 100 years. So far this year we have completed work on the Frank Radcliffe Fracture Clinic and the relocation of the Dermatology unit to Prospect House as part of the Hospital’s £2.4m refurbishment and relocation programme. So we are delighted to once again be working on further improvements to the site!

GSS are appointed as Quantity Surveyors for a £750,000 extensions and alterations scheme to the Cardiac Investigations Department.  The project will improve the existing facilities and provide much needed additional space for the department.

The new extension is to be located within an existing courtyard, meaning careful consideration was required in regards to the type of structure used in this space. In addition, in depth logistical planning was needed to ensure that minimal disruptions are caused whilst constructing the building within the busy hospital environment.

In addition, GSS have also been appointed as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor for an enabling works project, in order to facilitate the installation of new state of the art image guided therapy units within the hospital’s existing catheterization laboratory.
