Essential Improvements Continue at Kettering General Hospital

Important upgrades to the Lamport and Twywell wards at Kettering General Hospital have recently completed and GSSllp are proud to have provided Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying services.

Originally intended to improve the two wards’ suitability for dementia patients, the refurbishments have allowed for further adaptations in line with current social distancing measures, similar to a number of other projects GSSllp have recently worked on at the Hospital.

Additionally, the expansion of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, which started during the late summer, is also now complete and is one of many improvements the Hospital are making to enhance the patient experience and prepare for the forthcoming winter months. The expansion of this unit will allow some patients to be assessed, diagnosed, treated, and safely discharged without being admitted to a ward, freeing up space inside the hospital and enabling patients to be seen as quickly as possible.

Following on from these successful projects, we are proud to have recently been appointed on a number of new projects at the Hospital, including improvement works within the Nuclear Medicines unit, a significant upgrade to form a Medical Assessment unit, and the new Ears, Nose and Throat department.

With extensive experience of projects within the healthcare sector, our ongoing relationship with Kettering General Hospital and a number of other Healthcare Trusts, GSSllp are suitably qualified to assist with any upcoming healthcare projects you may be considering. Please get in touch to discuss this with a member of our team.
