We want to say a big thank you to the staff and members of The Teamwork Trust for letting us prepare them lunch, as part of our 140 hour volunteering initiative, in celebration of our 140th Anniversary. The team from GSSllp showed off their culinary skills by cooking a 3 course Italian themed lunch for the members at the Centre.
Partner at GSS, Paul Vega, said “It was a privilege to meet and cook for everyone at the Kettering Centre and to see first-hand the great work being done by the charity.”
The Teamwork Trust are a local charity that work with and support their members – adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities – who can choose from a programme of enabling and education projects, activities and counselling programmes. They offer a friendly, supportive environment where individuals can make new friends, access education, an opportunity to gain employability skills, whilst regaining self-esteem and confidence.
The team all had a great time helping out at the Kettering Centre, and the time put in means that we have now surpassed our target of 140 hours of volunteer work in 2019.
